Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Mt Vernon Eye Clinic the leading provider of vision care products and services in Mt. Vernon.

Dr. Sindt, a native of Dubuque joined the Mt. Vernon Eye Clinic in 1995.  He received a degree in Biology from Loras College and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.  He completed a hospital based residency through Ohio State University and the Cleveland VA Medical Center.  In addition to being a partner in the Mount Vernon Eye Clinic, he is also on staff at the Iowa City VA Medical Center.  Dr. Sindt is a clinical researcher, a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and has published several research papers.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Iowa Optometric Association, and is a former examiner for the National Boards in Optometry.

Dr. Sindt and his wife have four children.  In his spare time he enjoys family, Hawkeye football, World War 2 history, and Disney World.

Dr. Logan Granera grew up in Iowa and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Grinnell College before completing his Doctor of Optometry at the Rosenberg School of Optometry, graduating Sigma Cum Laude. Dr. Logan is experienced in providing comprehensive eye care, including contact lens services. He enjoys managing ocular diseases such as glaucomadiabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, as well as finding creative approaches to treating dry eye disease tailored to each patient’s needs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Logan enjoys spending time with his wife, Abby, and their three daughters, Charleigh, Rory, and Hadley. When he does get a minute to himself, he stays active through fitness, golfing, and pickleball, and he enjoys reading and being involved in his church.

Dr. Abby Granera grew up in southeast Iowa and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Health and Physiology from the University of Iowa. She graduated Sigma Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Abby practices full-scope optometry, enjoys seeing patients of all ages, as well as diagnosing and treating ocular diseases.

Dr. Abby and her husband, Logan, have three daughters, two fluffy dogs, and live in Mount Vernon. Outside of work, she enjoys creative projects and DIY crafts, spending time with her family, and spending time outdoors.
